Day To Day
Morning starts with the hustle and bustle of arrivals, with
breakfast being offered to the early birds (up to 9.15 am). Our nursery staff are experienced in settling children into nursery so drop off is a crucial time for you to update us on whether your child has slept or whether they have woken up upset for any reason.
Adult led activities take place in the morning, your child's key person will carry out activities tailored around your childs next steps or developmental needs. Your child's key person will get to know your child extremely well and will ensure all activities throughout the day meet the needs of your child.
Lunch is generally served at 11.45pm-12.00 pm unless we have an activity/trip planned in the morning which may push back or bring forward lunch. We place great importance in eating in a ‘family’ like setting, talking about our meal, and making it a relaxing and enjoyable time for everyone. We aim to ensure your child enjoys a wide range of healthy meals.
For lunch time sessions, parents must ensure that the child is present at the nursery by no later than 11.15am, to ensure that the appropriate preparations have been made to accommodate the child. This prevents disruptions and to the children’s routine.(Please check the noticeboard regularly to see updated menus)
Younger babies will need a number of sleeps during the day, and as they get older, this will reduce to one sleep, usually after lunch. We will always endeavour to enable your child to sleep when they want to, and we'll also work with you to establish a routine that suits their specific needs.
Throughout the afternoon your child will enjoy a range of activities designed to enable them to play, explore, discover and grow. Every activity will be tailored to their liking and they will be encouraged to build their confidence and understanding through praise, recognition and support.
Is usually between 4:15pm - 4.30pm the aim of tea is to bridge the gap between lunch time and going home for those children that are with us up until 5:30 pm.
Filling the gap between lunch and their evening meal, the children enjoy a light and healthy snack around 10:00am and 2:30pm.
When you arrive to take your child home, our nursery teams will be available to share any information about their day, pass on any important messages and to chat with you about what your child is learning and how they are developing.
Please ask your child's Key Person for a copy of their daily routine.
